Located just 30 minutes south of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Big Lake Guide Service offers duck hunters exceptional "old time" southern duck and goose hunts. Our blinds are in the heart of the central and Mississippi flyway. Millions of birds pass our area each fall and winter. Our waterfowl include the following:

Main species of waterfowl bagged are: Mallard, Pintail, Teal and Speckle Belly Goose.

All of our hunts are fully guided with experienced duckmen, who will call for you, identify and retrieve all ducks and geese. You will be delivered to a dry comfortable pit blind via boat or ATV, depending on where you will hunt. Your safety is our main concern while hunting with us.

You may hunt either of the following habitats; a fresh water marsh or flooded rice fields. Our fresh water marsh blinds are located in Cameron Parish, adjacent to Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge (A fall & winter resting ground for many species of waterfowl). Our field hunts are over managed rice fields in Jeff Davis Parish. We hope to make your hunting experience with us unforgettable.

"We will run 1/2 day (4 hours) Fishing trips during duck season only!"

Trip Includes: Ice, baits, fuel and licensed captain.
Not included in above price: Lodging, meals, Fish cleaning, rental rods, live bait, top water baits, flies and gratuity. Fishermen are to bring: Rods, reels, food, drinks, fishing license, and ice chest to carry fish home.

Hunters are to bring the following items:

Hunting license and waterfowl (State and Federal) stamps.
These licenses should be purchased before your arrival date. You may purchase your license over the telephone by calling 1-888-765-2602.
Camouflage clothing is a must, along with a camo hat.
Camouflage rain gear
Rubber knee boots are sufficient for both marsh and field hunts.
Hip boots will be needed for the early teal season only.
Steel shot only. The recommended magnum loads are 3" and 3 1/2" shells in shot size. Number 2, 3 or 4 shot are recommended for ducks. Goose loads should be #2.
Bird cleaning is available.
Tips for your guide are not included, but are welcomed and appreciated.

Please Note: A convenience fee of 5% will be added for all credit card payments.All deposit checks must be received within 10 days of booking. Advanced booking is necessary since there are only 60 days in the season.
